Did
you know that all our coaches & coach
interns are lifeguard AND CPR certified?
Certification classes are offered year-round
through the RECenters & other local
facilities. Certification types differ so
check
HERE
to see which certification types are
acceptable.
Many BCSC coaches choose to take
certification classes locally at the
Burke Racquet & Swim Club.
Burke
Racquet offers a full lifeguard/CPR
certification class in the spring (generally
early-May just before the start of the
season) as well as "challenge"
opportunities; which, if passed, extend your
certification without requiring you to
attend the full class. Contact
Kim Spina
for additional information
about classes.
NOTE:
American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguard certifications
are good for 3 years;
& beginning in 2011, ARC CPR certifications
are good for 2 years! |
